July Worship
All age worship on the 4th July at 10.30am
"The Greatest Story Ever Told"

The theme in the morning services for the rest of July will be
"Need-orientated Evangelism"
The theme of "Effective Structures" continues on the 20th & 27th July.

Christian Aid
The total raised is now in excess of £3,500. If you still have any outstanding money, please bring it in as soon as possible. Thank you.

Funeral Service for Keziah Smit
You are welcome to join Keziah's family and friends to remember and celebrate her life at 2pm on Monday 21st June.
Refreshments will be served in the hall afterwards.

Training for Back to Church Sunday
There is a session booked for Tuesday 29th June. Please sign up if you intend to come. There will be another opportunity later for those unable to attend this time.

Lunch Club
The next meeting will be on Thursday 24th June. There will be no lunches in July or August this year as many people are away at these times.

Keziah Smit

It is with great sadness that we report the news that one of our members, Keziah Smit was tragically killed on Wednesday 9th June in a car accident. She was travelling on the A14 on her way to help lead our Delta youth club at the time.

Kez was engaged to another Delta leader Alex Theobald, and they were due to be married in the autumn.

Please hold Kez's family and Alex in your prayers at this time.

The funeral will be on Monday 21st June at 2pm at Christ Church Moreton Hall.
Instead of flowers, please make donations to the Newmarket and District Youth for Christ, where Keziah worked and touched the lives of so many youth.
It was Keziah's wish that it would not be a dull funeral, and her family feel that those attending, if they want, should dress in bright colourful clothes and wear odd socks for her send off. The colour is to match Keziah's bright colourful personality, and the socks are because Keziah liked to wear odd socks every day!

Ministers Letter for June 2010

You will see from our poster for our all age act of worship for June that we are focusing on the fact that God values everyone. You may think no one loves you but God does and in fact our low opinion of ourselves often hides from us the fact that many around us think more of us that we ever realise. When people find that out and get their live together they then go on to be much more content people and start doing good things for other

One example is all the people who turned up in the wet to do our Christian Aid fun run. It was a great success despite the weather. Many thanks to our Mayor Patsy Warby and her consort Frank for being with us for this event. We promise to make it a bigger and more challenging event next year.

Thank you to all who help with and gave to Christian Aid week this year. Money is still coming in as I write, but we are well on our way to topping £3,000 from both events...
