PARISH NURSE
LESLEY WILLIAMS: PARISH NURSE
Parish Nursing
Jesus said he had come to give people life in all its fullness – and that’s what parish nursing is all about. Parish nursing is helping the whole person and is a way of adding to, whatever is offered by health services. The parish nurse may pray with the person assisting in their health care. A parish nurse does NOT implement invasive treatments. I will be here 2 days a week and welcome opportunities to develop the role and advance Christ Church Morton Hall’s mission.
It is a confidential service.
PARISH NURSING INCLUDES CARE THAT SUPPORTS:
• Physical and psychological needs
• Protection against harm
• Assisting the family as a unit
• Using the health care system effectively
• Lifestyle changes
• Spiritual care
• Health promotion
• Liaising with GP’S and Health Care Professionals
• The provision of education in care
• Assisting with elderly care and falls prevention
• Contributing to the diverse needs of Morton Hall Community
• Helping those who are grieving
I look forward to being with you.
Lesley
